NovoFine® needles come in different dimensions to ensure an optimal needle for each individual patient. NovoFine® needles are available in three different combinations of needle diameter and length:

Diameter                          Length                Pack Size

32G plus                            4 mm                  100

32G                                    4 mm                  100

32G tip                              6 mm                  100

30G                                   8 mm                  100

Gauge: a standard of measure, which refers to the size of the bore or hole of the needle – i.e. its diameter. Therefore, the higher the gauge, the thinner the needle.

Length: as described, the actual length of the needle in mm.

Diameter: this is measured by “gauge” and is the size of the bore or hole of the needle in mm.

Dispose of your used insulin cartridges & disposable insulin delivery devices safely into a yellow plastic sharps container.

Always remove the needle first and place into a sharps or sealed puncture resistant container (not glass), with a screw on lid before disposing of the device. Take the sealed container to your local pharmacy or local hospital who may be able to dispose of it for you.

The Consumer Medicine Information (CMI) for GlucaGen® HypoKit states, “GlucaGen® HypoKit should be stored at room temperature (i.e. less than 25°C). Avoid freezing to prevent damage to the glass syringe.”

It is preferred that GlucaGen® HypoKit be stored at room temp (below 25°C) because cold fluids tend to sting more when injected but refrigerating the product will not damage it. If refrigerated storage is used, be careful not to freeze the product as this may cause damage to the glass syringe which may compromise the sterility of the water for injection.
