Pre-mixed Insulin

Pre-mixed insulin contains a combination of a rapid-acting and intermediate-acting insulin in a fixed proportion. This product eliminates the difficulty encountered while mixing insulin. The combination of insulin and a retarding substance usually results in the formation of crystals which give the liquid a cloudy look. The insulin crystals must be mixed evenly before each injection.
